Founded in February 2025, Press Start Foundation began with a simple belief:
Creativity should not stop when money runs out.
Too many great ideas disappear because artists, musicians, coders, and storytellers do not get enough support. We started Press Start Foundation to be a spark of hope and opportunity.

Our mission is to help creative people like game developers, writers, musicians, and digital artists follow their dreams without being held back by money or unfair industry barriers.

Many of us know what it is like to come from a place where not much was expected. Creativity gave us a new path. Art and storytelling can change lives, open doors, and create hope.

About the Founder
Press Start Foundation was started by Javier J. “Jay” Morales, a former US Marine and teacher’s aide for special education students. With a background in game development and nonprofit leadership, Jay is passionate about helping creative people.

He launched Press Start Foundation after seeing talented classmates leave school because of financial barriers and watching the game industry close its doors to new talent. Jay wants to give artists, students, and indie creators real opportunities to share their work and protect them from unfair deals.

Jay’s goal is simple: help more people follow their creative dreams and make sure indie voices are heard.
